Source material
We use locally held Hotelbeds property-content records and associated source dictionaries. These records can include addresses, coordinates, descriptions, facility codes, images and room labels. The dataset is not a real-time reservation system, and different fields may have different levels of completeness.
Where available, a property page shows the source last-update field. This field belongs to the provider record and is not a claim that our team inspected the hotel on that date.
What makes a property eligible
The catalogue brings together property records selected for useful, substantive information. Records are selected for descriptions, addresses, coordinates, rooms and facility data. Newly added properties have at least three accessible source photographs. Provider identifiers and name/address checks prevent duplicate records. Selection is not a ranking of the best hotels in a destination.
How facilities become filters
Filter memberships use property-level facility codes resolved through the Hotelbeds dictionary. Explicitly false source flags are excluded. Wi-Fi, parking and restaurant filters use their respective property-level entries. The pool filter uses recorded swimming-pool entries, not the presence of a poolside snack-bar label.
Room-level amenities stay in their source group and do not automatically become a property-wide promise. A fee flag is displayed as an additional-charge note. All selected filters must match a record; unrecorded is different from confirmed unavailable.
Categories, room types and source wording
A source category is a provider classification, not a guest review score. Room labels and occupancy limits are source inventory facts, not an offer to sell a particular room. Meal-plan labels do not establish what is included in any rate.
Descriptions are attributed to the source. Statements about views, proximity or quality inside those descriptions have not been independently tested by Tangle-Croft.
Photography and destination illustrations
Hotel images use the photo paths attached to the individual Hotelbeds property record. The first view contains at most five photographs; the full gallery contains up to 24 validated source photographs and loads individual images when requested. Unavailable source images are excluded.
The Santorini cover and all 30 city destination pictures were generated specifically for this project. They illustrate a destination, not a bookable property, and are labeled accordingly. They should not be used to establish an exact view or current condition.
Corrections and decisions
Always confirm time-sensitive details directly with the property or your booking provider. Send suspected catalogue errors to [email protected], including the property page and the affected field. We do not promise a particular correction or response time.
